The Lungtest Lab Body system is a stationary device designed by MES Sp. z o.o., intended for performing bodyplethysmographic examinations of children from 3 years of age and adults. The essential component of the bodyplethysmography system is a closed cabin, with controlled tightness, in which the patient is placed and connected, via a mouthpiece, to the pneumotachographic head. Pressure changes resulting from chest movements, pressure changes in the oral cavity during valve closure and flow changes measured by the pneumotachograph are recorded. The Lungtest Lab Body spirometer performs measurements based on the unique MES DV40 pneumotachographic head patented by MES Sp. z o.o. Low flow resistance, small dead space and low weight create conditions for the patient similar to natural breathing. High accuracy and resistance to interference of the MES DV40 head is ensured by the lack of moving elements, complete insensitivity to moisture and digital flow measurement without air tubes. A modern, fully sterilizable, easily replaceable breath stopper is used for controlled breath closure during residual volume measurements. Sterilization of the pneumotachographic head and the entire closer guarantees the examined person full safety during the examination.
